Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) Announces New Manager of Middle East Partnerships

Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) is pleased to announce the transition of CMEP Ambassador Warren Clark Fellow (AWCF) Kevin Vollrath into his new role as Manager of Middle East Partnerships. In his new role, Kevin will establish and cultivate relationships with CMEP partners on the ground in the Middle East.

Kevin is a Ph.D. candidate in Religion and Society at Princeton Theological Seminary, where he also earned an M.Div. His research focuses on the relationship between the Israeli occupation of Palestine and Palestinians with disabilities, and how the occupation contributes toward disability. In joining CMEP, he is excited to complement his research with advocacy work.

Kevin also earned a BA in philosophy from the University of Chicago and has researched how churches can better care for and empower people with various disabilities. He has affiliations with the Evangelical Covenant Church and Vineyard USA. In his spare time, you can find him running, biking, or playing the piano.

Kevin said, “I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue partnering with CMEP and other NGOs, church leaders, and government officials working toward just and lasting peace in the Middle East. I believe CMEP is in a unique position to organize Christians to advocate for change and am honored to play a part.”

Rev. Dr. Mae Elise Cannon, the executive director of CMEP, said, “Kevin’s contributions as an Ambassador Warren Clark Fellow (AWCF) have been invaluable. We are eager to welcome him fully to the staff team and for him to now focus his energies on fostering and growing our relationships with critical partners in the Middle East.”
