This Wednesday, join Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) for a webinar addressing the current situation in Israel/Palestine where you will hear directly from leaders on the ground. Our panelists are Rev. Dr. Mitri Raheb (Founder and President of Dar al-Kalima University College of Arts and Culture), Rula Salameh (Education and Outreach Director, Palestine at Just Vision), and Suha Salman Mousa (the Executive Director of the Mossawa Center). The discussion will be led by CMEP's Executive Director, Rev. Dr. Mae Elise Cannon and will focus on events in Jerusalem, the larger context, and the engagement of Palestinian citizens in Israel. Kyle Cristofalo (Senior Director of Advocacy and Government Relations/Special Advisor to the Executive Director at CMEP), will provide an update on ways you can advocate with your members of Congress and the Administration.

Executive Director at the Mossawa Center, the Advocacy Center for Palestinian Arab citizens of Israel, which promotes Palestinian Arab rights and a democratic society. Suha manages and develops Mossawa’s parliamentary, legal, international, and media advocacy for advancing the rights of Palestinian Israelis. She also focuses on strengthening community work. In recent years, she led the initiative to establish Friends of Mossawa in the USA, promoting the center’s work abroad. She holds an MBA degree from Haifa University, and has fulfilled multiple leadership and management roles in a variety of organizations.
Founder and President of Dar al-Kalima University College of Arts and Culture. Mitri is a Palestinian Christian, the pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Christmas Church in Bethlehem, and the founder and president of the Diyar Consortium, a group of Lutheran-based, ecumenically-oriented institutions serving the Bethlehem area.
Just Vision's Outreach Director in Palestine. Rula is producer of Budrus, Naila and the Uprising, and My Neighborhood. She joined Ma'an News Agency in 2009 as a journalist, then senior producer and projects coordinator, and since August 2011 she is a TV presenter for a weekly TV show at Ma’an Satellite Channel. After 3 years, she registered her TV show as an NGO in Palestine and now her TV show is one of the best programs in Palestine.
Rula has an international diploma in Computers in Business and Management from Cambridge International College, and studied Sociology at Birzeit University in Ramallah.
Executive Director of Churches for Middle East Peace and an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC). Cannon formerly served as the senior director of Advocacy and Outreach for World Vision U.S. on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC; as consultant to the Middle East for child advocacy issues for Compassion International in Jerusalem; as the executive pastor of Hillside Covenant Church located in Walnut Creek, California; and as director of development and transformation for extension ministries at Willow Creek Community Church in Barrington, Illinois.
Senior Director of Advocacy and Government Relations/Special Advisor to the Executive Director at CMEP. Kyle holds a BA in Peace and Conflict Studies from Messiah College, and a Master of Divinity Degree from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. Kyle was first introduced to Middle East advocacy work during a semester abroad in Cairo, Egypt. After graduating from college, Kyle spent 10 months serving with the Mennonite Central Committee in Bethlehem, Palestine, where he was seconded to work with Bethlehem Bible College. Most recently, Kyle served as the Program Assistant for Middle East Policy at the Friends Committee on Legislation where he helped coordinate lobbying work on Middle East policy and trained grassroots advocates on how to lobby their Congressional representatives.
