Webinar: Annexation, Human Rights, & US Policy in Israel/Palestine:

CMEP co-hosted a webinar entitled "Annexation, Human Rights, & US Policy in Israel/Palestine" with the Global Ministries of the Christian Church (Disples of Christ) and the United Church of Christ as part of the Ecumenical Advocacy Days.

 
CMEP1835 Advocacy Training:

oin CMEP1835 virtually at our Spring 2021 Advocacy Training on Wednesday, May 26th, 2021 at 7-8 p.m. EST. Participants will hear from Kyle Cristofalo, CMEP's Senior Director of Advocacy and Government Relations on how to advocate with Congressional members on behalf of peace and justice in the Middle East. CMEP1835 is an extension of Churches for Middle East Peace that seeks to engage young adults in education and advocacy around Israel/Palestine, as well as the broader Middle East.  This event is intended for individuals aged 18-35.

 
 
Lamenting Christian Nationalism:

CMEP co-sponsored a prayer vigil prior to Holy Week on Lamenting Christian Nationalism. A video of the service can be viewed and has over 4.6k views. Join CMEP and others for a week of action in response to Christian Nationalism the week of May 16.

 
Podcast: U.S. Evangelicals' Support for Settlements:

CMEP's Executive Director participated in a conversation with Americans for Peace Now (APN) specifically addressing Evangelical Support of Israel's Settlement Enterprise. This webinar addressed questions like: What are the theological concerns at the core of evangelical support of settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem? What material support for settlements in the occupied territories have American Christians provided? And what do U.S. churches who support Israel think about settlements?
