The assassination of Major General Qasem Soleimani the military commander of Iran’s Quds Force by the U.S. on January 2, has significantly increased tensions with Iran, opening up the very real possibility of war.  A war with Iran would only further destabilize the region and lead to the deaths of countless people. Right now, your elected officials need to hear loudly and clearly that Congress must do everything in its power to prevent war with Iran.

Only diplomacy will bring an end to tensions with Iran. Congress must stand strong and work toward legislation that will encourage a peaceful end to the current conflict with Iran before it escalates even further. Congress cannot sit idly by during this crisis. Congress must assert its authority to ensure we do not enter an unauthorized war. Encourage your Congressional representatives to take swift action to avert war with Iran.
