Nov. 2025 Encountering the Holy Land Trip
Join Churches for Middle East Peace as we journey to Israel/Palestine in November 2025 for Encountering the Holy Land. This trip will highlight the spiritual significance of the land, the role of local Christians in shaping the region’s past and present, and opportunities to meet with religious, academic, and non-profit leaders working toward peace and justice in the land. Alongside visits to sacred sites in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and beyond, participants will engage in thoughtful conversations that bring deeper understanding of the complex realities on the ground today.
CMEP hopes that participants will return home not only with meaningful memories of pilgrimage and fellowship but also with fresh perspectives to share with their own communities — churches, denominations, and networks — helping to foster greater awareness and engagement with the people and places of the Holy Land.

Itinerary highlights include:
- Worship and guided visits to the sacred sites of Jerusalem’s Old City
- Meeting with Israeli and Palestinian guides, scholars, and community leaders
- Visits to Bethlehem, including the Church of the Nativity and the Tent of Nations
- Time in the Christian village of Taybeh
- Conversations with local organizations working on human rights, sustainable development, and peacebuilding
- Shared meals and fellowship with local families and leaders
Meet your Trip Leader: Kyle Cristofalo
Kyle is the Senior Director of Advocacy and Government Relations for CMEP, as well as the Special Advisor to CMEP's Executive Director.
At CMEP, Kyle leads advocacy efforts with Congress and the Administration in advance of the organization’s policy priorities. He also liaises with CMEP’s domestic coalition partners. Kyle was first introduced to Middle East advocacy work during a semester abroad in Cairo, Egypt. After graduating from college, Kyle spent 10 months serving with the Mennonite Central Committee in Bethlehem, Palestine, where he was seconded to work with Bethlehem Bible College.
Kyle holds a BA in Peace and Conflict Studies and a Master of Divinity Degree from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. Kyle has over a decade of experience in advocacy and government relations work related to the Middle East having previously served at the Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL) and the Presbyterian Church USA’s Office of Public Witness.

PLEASE NOTE: This price is a high end estimate. Final price is dependent on the total number of travelers. Once registration closes, we will invoice final totals. The more travelers, the lower the cost will be.

Included in the cost of the tour:
- Pre-Trip Orientation with CMEP (via video call) to learn more about the people, organizations, and places you will visit.
- Post-Trip Debrief with CMEP (via video call) to discuss ways to engage your local congregation in conversations about the Holy Land and peacebuilding between Israel/Palestine.
Trip Includes:
- Accommodation
- Ground-transportation including group transfers to and from the Tel Aviv airport
- Honorariums for speakers
- Entrance fees for sites listed in the itinerary
- Most meals (excluding some lunches)
- Trained, dedicated tour guides
Trip Does Not Include:
- Flights
- Travel insurance, *strongly recommended to include civil unrest coverage*
- Airport transfers outside of scheduled group transfers
- Customary tips for drivers, guides, and hotel staff
- Anything not explicitly listed as included
